Temple University was founded in 1884 as a public research university with a student population exceeding 40,000, hailing from over 100 countries worldwide. Osaka University, often abbreviated as OU, is a comprehensive national research university located in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and is one of the country’s Designated National University Corporations. Originally established as Osaka Imperial University in 1931, it was one of Japan’s seven imperial universities and remains the largest national university in Japan.
With a foundation in medicine and natural sciences, Osaka University gained early prominence as "the science-focused university."

Niigata University, a national university located in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, was reformed in 1949 from institutions including Niigata Medical University. In 2004, it became a national university corporation.
By 2004, Niigata University comprised nine faculties and eight graduate schools, along with specialized research institutions such as the Brain Research Institute and the Research Center for Natural Hazards of Snowy Regions. With around 11,000 students, it is the largest national university on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu Island. Thammasat University, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, was founded in 1933 and is the second oldest university in Thailand.
The Department of Chemistry signed a double-degree agreement with Bioenergy and Biochemical Refinery Technology Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, Thailand on May 18, 2021. The agreement allows TU undergraduate students to pursue NSYSU's master's degree in the fourth year of their study. After completing the program, students will be granted BS from TU and MS from NSYSU.
Applications are submitted in March each year, with arrival at the university in September of the same year.
