To improve the research ethics of this university’s Ph.D. and Master’s degree
students, and to equip students with the correct knowledge of and attitude
towards ethics when conducting academic research, this university has
established these Guidelines for Implementation of Academic Research Ethics
Education course (hereafter known as “this Course”).
Starting from the 2015 school year, enrolled graduate students studying for
master’s or doctoral degree (including in-service master’s program) must
complete this course before the end of the first school year.
Those who have not passed are not eligible for the degree examination.
Students who are required to take this zerocredit course must conform to the
course implementation standards announced by this university’s Office of
Academic Affairs (basically 2 hours or more of study).
Regulations for Master’s and Ph.D. programs of each school, department, and
program provide that students having passed professional academic research
ethics education courses may be exempted from taking this Course.
These Guidelines shall be adopted by the Academic Affairs Council, and
submitted to the President for approval before implementation. The same
applies for any amendments and revisions.
