My research focuses on using spectroscopic techniques to study the dynamics of electronically excited small molecules. The research primarily involves small molecules and radicals related to chemical lasers, combustion chemistry, air pollution, and atmospheric chemistry. Key data include electronic state distributions, vibrational state distributions, reaction rate cross-sections, electronic energy transfer rates, and quantum yields.
Research methods include photosensitization, reactive intermediates, photodissociation, and laser-induced fluorescence. The light sources used in these studies include resonance lamps, lasers, and synchrotron radiation sources.
