Research Interests

Soft Functional Materials and Devices Lab
Soft electronics is aleading candidate fornext-generationelectronics to reduce theinterface stress betweenthe electronics and humanbody.The cutting-edge electronics have attracted considerable attention because of their potential applications in diverse fields, suchas in displays, biomedical systems, health monitoring, energy conversion devices, wearables, smart robots, and electronic(e)-skin. The objectives of my research group are as follows: (i) to design and synthesize soft functional materials (ii) to develop afundamental and systematic understanding of the interactions between molecules, electrons, and photons, and mechanical properties of soft functional materials and their morphology interfaces (iii)to develop engineering methodologies for soft electronics processing, chemical functionalization, energy conversion,biomimicking, and nanomanufacturing. Insights gained from molecular engineering and small-scale experiments will be utilized to developflexible, reliable, and highperformance integrated soft electronics and e-skin applications.
